One of the most difficult types of representation for lawyers from a conflicts perspective is formation of entities.  This article will address the ethical and malpractice avoidance issues involved in forming partnerships and corporations.

Researching conflicts of interest issues can be very frustrating.  Sources that may be useful are unfamiliar to many lawyers.  Even when pertinent information is found, the context of that information may mislead lawyers into assuming that what they have found justifies a particular practice.

On March 3, 2008, Texas Lawyers’ Insurance Exchange lost another member of the family and the legal community lost a great lawyer. Mr. Harry Marks passed away on this date at the age of 72.
